Terms and Conditions

General
All works undertaken are subject to our terms and conditions. They are payable 14 days following the date of invoice.
Please note title to any goods supplied remains with JTP Projects until goods or services are paid in full. Interest shall be charged on all overdue accounts without prejudice to any other rights at the rate of 1.5% per month from the date such payment becomes due. Payment outside JTP Projects terms of settlement could invalidate any warranties offered.
Installations / Upgrades
On acceptance of our quotations a 60% prepayment will be required, and an installation date will be confirmed. On handover of the works to the client’s satisfaction an invoice will be submitted for the final 40% balance of the contract, which becomes payable 14 days following the date of the invoice.
Warranty
All equipment listed in our quotations will be covered with a one-year full warranty against defect. Any defect will be rectified without charge where the defect arose within 12 months of installation except where the defect results from act, neglect or default of the customer or a third party. Following the warranty period a maintenance contract will be offered, payable in advance, annually.
Maintenance
24 hours/365 days per annum emergency engineer call-out service.
Routine maintenance visit(s) per year by our engineers to check the alarm system in accordance with NSI/insurance company regulations. These will be scheduled between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday (am/pm visits bookable). Nb: NO allowance has been made for overtime working or Public Holidays.
Call-out charges for visits because of fire activations, intruder, attempted intrusion, storm damage, BT line faults, flooding, power cuts, customer error, misuse by customer or agents of customer etc.. or no fault found are listed below;-

Contracted Customers
£90.00 + VAT for first hour
£40.00 + VAT per hour / part hour thereafter
Non-Contracted Customers
£150.00 + VAT for first hour
£50.00 + VAT per hour / part hour thereafter
Travelling time office / site at £25.00 per hour
Parts charged according to Warranties.
Remote Resets via Central monitoring station for monitored systems are charged at £20.00 + VAT per reset.
Congestion charges / Parking fees — Applicable congestion charges and parking fees as necessitated by us, to attend to the premises, are chargeable back to the customer at cost as detailed in our invoice.
1. In these Conditions the following shall have the following meanings: "Contract Period" means a period commencing on the Commencement date and continuing thereafter until terminated under the terms hereinafter appearing.
2. "The Commencement Date" means the first day of the month in which the maintenance / installation takes place.
3. The Customer shall pay us the Maintenance charge in advance as provided overleaf, whether demanded or not.
4. The Maintenance charge shall cover inspection and testing of the system by us — 1 visit per annum unless otherwise stated and agreed. The maintenance charge shall not cover call out charges, repairs to or replacement of the System or any part thereof (unless and then only to that extent that sale warrantees previously given by us may apply) and any such repairs or replacements shall be paid for by the Customer on demand, for example replacement of battery unit which has used all its charge. It is the customer's responsibility to dispose of the spent battery unit.
5. The customer shall not during the period of the Agreement interfere with or alter, or permit interference with or alteration of the system, or any part thereof, without prior notification to us. We may terminate this Agreement immediately if it considers any such interference or alteration unacceptable.
6. If the Customer becomes aware of any defect in the system, the customer shall forthwith notify us.
7. In the event of us replacing any apparatus forming part of the system during the contract period, all the terms of this Agreement shall continue to apply to the system embodying such substituted apparatus.
8. The customer undertakes and warrants that the customer has all necessary right title and interest to permit us to maintain the system on the premises and shall allow all necessary facilities and access to the premises to be always afforded to us to enable us to discharge its obligations and to exercise its rights hereunder.
9. We shall be entitled to perform all or any of its obligations under this Agreement by means of subcontractors.
10. We shall be entitled to increase the annual maintenance charge by giving the customer notice in writing of any increase at the time of annual renewal of the contract.
11. Subject to Condition 4. Hereof, this Agreement may be terminated:
a. By either party giving to the other not less than one calendar month (CCTV requires not less than 3 calendar months) notice in writing expiring on any anniversary of the contract date.
b. By either party forthwith if the other party shall commit any breach of its obligations here under and shall not remedy the same within seven days after notice in writing specifying the breach and requiring it to be remedied or if either party (being an individual) Shall commit an act of bankruptcy or (being a corporation) shall go into liquidation (other than for the purpose of reconstruction or amalgamation) or shall suffer the appointment of a Receiver of any of his or its property or income or make any deed or arrangement with or composition for the benefit of any of his or its creditors or shall suffer any distress execution or seizure of his or its property or chattels. If we terminate this Agreement under the provisions of this paragraph the customer shall forthwith pay us, all monies due.
c. By us issuing, in writing, notice to the customer that we are unable to comply with our obligations hereunder for reasons beyond control. Any such termination shall not give rise to any claim by the customer against us.
No variation extension omission or cancellation of the express terms of this Agreement shall be binding upon "us" unless confirmed by "us" in writing and signed by a Partner of the Business and the "The Customer" acknowledges that no person other than a Partner of the Business has any authority to negotiate or enter any commitment on behalf of "us" in any legal liability whatsoever.
All invoices are due for payment within 14 days of invoice date. Any invoice outstanding beyond this period will be referred to collections and will be subject to a surcharge of 15% + VAT to cover the collection costs incurred. This surcharge together with all other charges and legal fees incurred will be the responsibility of the Customer and will be legally enforceable.
